Hello Everyone !!!

This song is the best way to END 2013!!!! I took out all the garbage this last year and 2014 will start with a HUGE BANG!!!!! No more bad people, no more negative energy and most of all I am getting everything I want.  Good things for 2014!! LOL.

I had a great time at one of my good friend's birthday this week and I wanted to share some of the night with you guys.  Happy Birthday Frank "IE" LOL !! He had a DJ, who by the way played that song Rumors. :))  Candy station!!! OHHHHH, bring on the prosecco!  It was flowing all night.  This boy can put on a party and I loved it!!

The party room was decorated amazing and he had tons of food.  You all know, I LOVE food. LOL.  The only thing missing was Stevie B music, hahahaa. I am sure, I will get the DJ at the New Years event I am attending to play me some Spring Love!!! :P  We all had fun at your birthday boo! Diana, got a lecture more than once from my brother in law. LOL.  I have no idea what those two were talking about all night.  I know, I loved the drinks, food and CANDY! Uncle Enzo and Frank, yes, I look like my sister.  All night I heard, wow, you must be "Nadia's sister." 

I wanted to wish all of my wonderful followers, who are soooo amazing a HAPPY and SAFE New Year!! I will be gone for a bit and I will try and post some pics.  I promise you, I will eventually write and show you how my NEW YEARS went down!!! whoooopp whooopp!!

Hello Everyone.,

I wanted to wish ALL OF YOU a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!  This is my favorite holiday and in my house we have such amazing traditions that have been passed down from generations.  My Italian parents have taught me so much about love and the holidays.  Every year, we do the same things on Christmas.

Midnight on Christmas Eve is for mass.  My dad sings in the choir and we love to go and watch him sing.  When I was younger, we would open gifts when we got home as the morning was reserved for SANTA gifts lol.  Now, I am older, so we all open our gifts on Christmas morning but, I still am spoiled and I am always amazed at all the food!! For dinner on Christmas Eve, we eat pasta Aglio Olio, which is spaghetti with oil and garlic.  It is my favorite dish!! We now, have potato pizza and of course there is always Baci chocolate in this house at Christmas time.  You will not find any recipes from Olive Garden or Broccoli Salad. LOL

My house is always beautifully decorated.  My mom does a great job with all the Santa's around the rooms.  We always have music on Christmas Day, yes, Mariah Carey but we always have the song Feliz Navidad on when my mom cooks lasagna and home made pasta and yes, turkey.  I am not sure why we make turkey LOL.  It's always left over. 

My favorite part of the holidays is watching my parents.  My Dad calling Italy and screaming like they can not hear him, my mom singing in the kitchen and making Tiramisu and the excitement of watching my Dad scratch his lotto tickets.  One year Daddy, you'll win that jack pot, I know it. :))

Hello Everyone,

Last night, I had the privilege of seeing the Mrs. Carter World Tour.  It was a great show.  She had many wardrobe changes and the dancing was amazing.  The all girl band was beyond incredible and Queen "B" had us all on our feet all night.  This is my first time seeing Beyoncé live, and I have to say I was expecting more singing and less dancing.  Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining, it's just I really wanted to hear more of "B".

The night started off with her opening act Luke James. The man needed a cold shower before he started the show.  He must have touched himself so many times, I lost count.  At one point, he took off his shirt and everyone laughed.  I think, your suppose to get cheers at that point. LOL. The poor little girl who was sitting behind me, she screamed "iLLLLLLLLL" and covered her eyes.  The best part of his act was when he thanked God, and left the stage.  We all thanked God, when he got off that stage.

The show started with a bang.  A HUGE bang. LOL.  Mrs. Carter, had lights, fireworks and 10 lady  dancers. Yes, I counted the female dancers. Hahaha.  My favorite part of the show was when she showed a picture of her daughter, Blue Ivy.  That little girl my friends, is really cute.

Beyoncé rocked Air Canada Centre last night singing, " Crazy in Love,  Run the world (girls), Irreplaceable, Survivor and my favorite song was Naughty Girl ".  The encore Halo was done beautifully.  My only complaint is that it seemed like a really short concert.  I wanted more of QUEEN B!!!! I missed the Leaf game for this concert. LOL. "B", I wanted to hear more of you!

I think we all were expecting JAY Z to make an appearance, maybe, say a quick hello to Toronto!! Unfortunately, she had no surprise quests and the wine we were drinking was finished quickly. LOL.

Here's to the Mrs. Carter WORLD Tour.  I enjoyed it immensely and can not wait for the next time I see Beyoncé live.

It's Not the Holidays, without them.... "Starbucks"

Hello Everyone.,

It's not the holidays, unless you have a special treat from Starbucks.  Every Christmas, I look forward to the holiday drinks at Starbucks.  The Peppermint Mocha, Gingerbread Latte, Caramel Brule Latte and now my friends, I have a new favorite, the Eggnog Latte.

I have to say Christmas time at Starbucks is the best.  They have the nicest decorations, sweetest treats and the cutest gifts available.  My heart always skips a beat when I walk into a Starbucks during the holidays.  I'm always wondering if I should add the calories and get that whip on the Caramel Apple Spice.  Who am I kidding? I always get the whip. LOL.

If your trying to be good, and want a treat with fewer calories, get a tall non fat peppermint mocha.  It's the Christmas season though, get that snowman cookie, get the whip on the Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate and try those peppermint cake pops!!!

People, always get me Starbucks gift cards during the holidays and guess what...I LOVE IT!!!!! I can not get enough of my Starbucks.  It brings joy to my life.

Go into a Starbucks soon, and check out all the great holiday drinks!!  It's not the holidays without them.  If you see that cute Alice & Olivia Bear, buy it.  It is a limited edition holiday bear and it is the sweetest thing ever, it is wearing pearls!! LOL.

I LOVE Cross Boarding SHOPPING!! GOD BLESS the USA!!!

Hello Everyone..,

I definitely enjoy going to Buffalo.  I did go twice in the last year, so, I must LOVE the shopping over there.  I know, I LOVE the Cheesecake factory and I definitely LOVE the food that is offered in the USA.  They have the best selection of products!! Coconut M&M's and Raspberry M&M's.  Canada, why don't we have these flavours???!! I never understood why the USA has more of a selection of food? Is it worth the trip to cross the boarder? UMMM... YES!!!!!!!!

My last visit to the good old US of A was last week.  It took us 2 hours at the boarder.  Yes, 2 hours.  The line-up was insane and I had to go to the washroom, sorry in the USA they say RESTROOM. LOL.  I have no problem with the customs officers being thorough but put a washroom near the line- up.  My friend and I had to hold it all the way to the outlet mall. 

I love the Niagara Falls USA outlet mall.  Every time, we go there it's like a rat race.  How fast can we get through this mall, so we can get to the Walden Galleria before traffic starts? LOL.  Since, we got there at noon, we ate first.  I know, we put the shopping on hold to eat, imagine that...but, that's how long it took to get over.  The routine is to usually start at Burberry, I don't know why, we never get anything in there.  We did great this time.  There were 4 of us and we zoomed through that mall like it was on fire.  Frank and Diana, I am still tired from seeing the back of your heads.  These two do not walk, they sprint.  I lost 5 lbs chasing you two around the mall.  Frank, is like a drill sergeant when he shops, the boy can move.  He can try on jeans, shoes, and eat in 5 mins.  At one point, I was debating to get a wallet at Saks, but he scolded me like my Dad.. " Do you really need that? " Ummm,, no, but I really don't need anything.  I left the wallet and the lady beside me left hers too.  She even thanked him for making her save money. 

We did separate at one point.  My sister and I, went a different direction. Yes, Yes, we are sisters, and at times we think the same.  Yes, we got the same purse in different colours.  Who cares, right? LOL.  Well, I got the black one and she got the red one.  When Frank saw this, he thought I would be better with Red and her with Black, so, yes we switched them. I wanted the red the whole time. hahaha. 

Off to Walden...So, the GPS took us on a tour across Buffalo.  I got to see all the universities and of course again I had to go too the washroom, opps sorry, restroom.  Once at Walden, all I heard was my sister saying she had to get the KK perfume and we had to go to sears to see the KK fashion line.  Canada, thank you for not having the KK ( Kardashian Kollection ), I do not like it and she ended up buying nada.  Frank, broke the change room door at Sears. Diana, tried on ripped shirts.  My sister, was obsessed with KK fashion and yes, I still needed the restroom! We finally leave Sears, and we ended up in a sex store?! LOL.  It had Sons of Anarchy memorabilia but it also was a sex store. NOOOOO, we did not buy any sex products. LOL.  Who wants to explain that to customs?  I must thank the lady at Lord and Taylor.  She went above and beyond to find my sister a pair of UGGS.  She said she was going to the docks to get her a size, the lady came back 40 mins later, sweating.  I think she really went to the docks?! Outside somewhere!! We should have sent Frank, he would have been to the docks, restroom and would have tried on jeans in 10 mins.

Best part of the day... yup, CHEESECAKE FACTORY!!!!!  We ate like champions. Well, Diana and I ordered from the menu, while my sister and Frank ordered from the "skinnylicious" menu.  Imagine, a "skinnylicious" menu at the cheesecake factory?! The food was great! I took home 3 pieces of cheesecake.  It was FANTASTIC! Yes, we do go food shopping when we go.  WE love target and I stocked up on M&M's and candy.  That is considered food.  When we get asked, what are you bringing back? We all say FOOD!?! LOL.

I have to say, crossing back is always the best part.  I do not know why we do this, but, we always go nuts.  My sister drills us all before we even leave the store.  My favorite line of the day, hands down is.." I'm not worried about us, it's Frankie, I'm worried about. " LOL.  One time, poor guy forgot tags on his shirt and now, he never stops hearing it! hahahaa. Diana, thanks for driving in the rain. Frank "ie" thanks for making me leave that wallet and making me laugh, and my sister, thank you for being my sister.  We think the same at times, and when Diana said, "wow, you two are more a like than I thought...it made me laugh." One last thing, has nothing to do with the trip... GO LEAFS GO!!! They play tonight...LOL.

Last Vegas was a great Movie!!!

Hello Everyone.,

This weekend I went to see the movie Last Vegas with Michael Douglas, Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman and Kevin Klein.  It has been a long time since I have seen a movie I actually enjoyed.  This movie was funny, entertaining and kept me singing.  

These 4 men who have been best friends since childhood, take a trip to Las Vegas to celebrate a wedding.  It will not disappoint you.  These actors portray friendship and love and make you believe that no matter how old you are, never settle on LOVE.  They can party, dance, and gamble Vegas style.

Jerry Ferrara, who played "Turtle" on the HBO series Entourage, is also in this movie.  He is so cute and I have to say his part in the movie was done really well.  He looks great by the way.  They're is even a brief appearance by 50 cents. LOL.  Thank God, I did not see an appearance by Kim and Kayne.

The movie was 2 hours and I tell you, it flew by quickly.  I loved the story and I recommend this flick to all of you readers.  It is worth using up those scene points to go and see it!! Yes, I came in the top 10 so, I did win the FREE poutine!!! hahaha.  I love TIME PLAY!!!!!!!!! :))

I do not want to give away too much of the movie, so I will add one last thing.  I had tears in my eyes and was singing at the same time.  It made me believe that no matter how old you are, true love is possible and having fun VEGAS style is always a possibility!! Last Vegas, is a must see.  I hope, you get a chance to watch this movie.

I got to see My Toronto Maple Leafs play at the ACC!!

" THEY WON !!!!!!!!! GO LEAFS GOOOOO !!!!!! "

Hello Everyone,

Last night, I was very lucky to get tickets to watch my Leafs play the New Jersey Devils.  It was an amazing night and game.  I have to say, I was really impressed with the pre game ceremony that they had for the veterans and for the inductees for the Hockey Hall of Fame.  I have to mention Mark Fraser who we all know plays for the Leafs.  His grandfather is a veteran!?!  It was nice that the Leafs mentioned Mark's grandfather.  I was also blown away to see some of the kids they had as guests from Sick Kids Hospital.  Little Aiden, brought down the house!!  He was so cute and to hear him say " Excuse me, Mr. Hockey Player, I want to see myself on TV. " was priceless.  I have to say this organization made those kids so happy and you can not put a price on a smile from a child's face.  Good job BUDS!!

The night was great.  I was on the jumbo tron briefly lol.  Hey, it was amazing!! I did feel sorry for one girl, whose boyfriend thought it was funny to do a fake proposal in front of ACC.  That poor girl, she was so embarrassed and let's just say, they left right after.  That boy did not get any action last night. LOL.  What were you thinking?? She thought she was getting a proposal and ring?!  Guys, not funny to embarrass your girl like that in front of a bunch of strangers.  I hope, those two worked it out.

The game was exciting and for it to go into a shoot out and to get that victory, made it worth the price of the ticket! I remember as a teenager sleeping outside for tickets just to see my boys in blue play.  Thank God, I now have a connection who has season tickets!! hahaha.

Toronto Maple Leafs, you played well last night.  You had all of us fans on our feet! The guy next to me dropped beer all over the person in front of him but you had him on his feet. LOL.  Great game boys, let's do it again in Boston tonight!!! PLEASE, let's beat the bruins!!!! :)

Spoon and Fork, Opening a NEW Location!!!!

Hello Everyone.,

Yes, it's true, my favorite restaurant is opening up a new location in Toronto at Don Mills and York Mills.  I was given this information on Halloween day, when I went for lunch at my favorite restaurant.   Thank you Ben, once again for the great food and dessert!  I enjoyed myself and ate way too much, once again.

I decided to take my cousins to Spoon and Fork, as they have never been and I love to introduce people to this restaurant.  They get so excited and love it.  I have not heard any negative comments from anyone I have taken to dine here.  We had a fabulous lunch and I am pretty sure, they will go back there to eat soon. LOL.  So, if two Calabrese women approve once again of the rice, noodles, sushi, tempura, vegetables, and dessert, it is safe to recommend this place to the wonderful people of Toronto.  After all the bad press Toronto has been getting lately with Rob Ford being on crack, it's nice to promote something amazing like this restaurant.

I can not say enough about this place, I mean I am writing about it again, so clearly I LOVE IT!!! The question is though, do I love it more than my Maple Leafs????? LOL.  Ummm, not sure on that one.  I know, I would love to have lunch/dinner with the Maple Leafs at Spoon and Fork!!?! hahaha.

When you get a chance, go to Spoon and Fork and try my favorite dishes, vegetable lemongrass fried rice and yam tempura!!!  I must of ate 3 plates of rice. :p

I always have the Toronto Maple Leafs on My Mind. LOL. Last night was fun!

Hello Everyone.,

Last night I went to the opening game for the Toronto Raptor's.  I had a really good time.  My mind though was always on my Leafs who were in Calgary.  What can I say? I'm a true blue leaf fan and they were playing Calgary who has a great player like Mark Giordano on their team! I know Mark's family and I wanted to mention him, as I am very proud of his accomplishments. He's a great guy who grew up in Toronto. So, Mark congrats on making captain, but the Leafs won!!! I am sorry I missed some of the game. 

I want to start by thanking Stephanie at TD bank who started my day out great! She was amazing and we talked about the game, and she said I looked cute, so how could I not like this girl? LOL.  Stephanie, I did not see you at the game last night but I will probably see you again at the bank. I hope you enjoyed seeing the Raptor's win their first game!! Congrats boys on a job well done.  I am always happy to see a Toronto team beat a Boston team! hahaha. I had no idea that the Boston Celtics had Kris Humphries on their team.  Do you guys remember him? Kim Kardashian's famous ex. ?! Kris, you made it to another team, good for you and congrats on finally getting that divorce.

As for last night, I had a blast.  I met some really cool people.  Ceasar and Tomas, I am sorry if I spelt your names wrong. LOL.  You guys were funny and charming and yes, we did have a lot of food but I love food and the chicken fingers were amazing!!!! I really did enjoy talking with you guys, and I hope you enjoyed the game.

Raptor's and the Leaf's, Congratulations on two great wins!!!!!!!! I hope, I get to see more Raptor games at the ACC but next time, I am not going on a night my leafs are playing. hahaha.

Hello Everyone.,

Today's post I thought I would tell you about a few of my favorite things.  Sometimes, life can be hard and so you need some things to bring you up, make you smile, make you want to "dance girl" ...On that note, I am going to share with you what I do when I am blue.

Ok, so everyone by now knows I LOVE the Toronto Maple Leafs, and I grew up watching the game. The Leafs and my favorite pink and white jersey make me happpppyyy. Except, when the leafs lose, then I am not so happy, hence why I have other things on my list. LOL.  I have a few leaf tees but my white and pink one is my FAVORITE.  I think because it's a kids jersey and it fits makes me love it more. :) It's a girl thing, fitting in a small size is great!! Hockey in general is a sport I enjoy, and so I also love Mario Lemieux and my program from when I was a kid has made my list of favorites.

Hockey, is not the only sport I like to watch and when I see my ball that I got from the Jays game back in August, I smile.  It reminds me of the great night and how catching a ball at the game can bring a smile to someone's face.

MUSIC...everyone needs it!! I LOVE STEVIE B and freestyle..hahaha. I love to dance in my room to Stevie B and wait, wait, I can not forget Justin.  He always brings sexy back and that song is the best!!!  So, "Dance Girl, Dance.." I have grown to love that phrase.  It always brings a smile to my face.

Starbucks.  How can I describe the feeling of Starbucks? UMMM.... goose bumps on a cold winter's day...I don't know. LOL.  I enjoy it.  I love the Valencia Orange Refresher and the new Chocolate Chai Latte.  They make me so happy.  Both of these drinks are fantastic.

Food.  Who doesn't love food? My favorite snack, is POPCORNERS.  I know, you think I am crazy, but, I am telling you they taste amazing.  They are pop corned chips and are gluten free.  I am trying to be healthy LOL, ok!?! You have to try them.  They have different flavours and they are really good. You can find them at Costco. 

Last but not least, what always makes me laugh besides thinking of certain people..hahaha...is the television show the BIG BANG theory.  I love watching this show.  I can put on the DVD's and watch all night.  "Penny, Penny, Penny.."

So now, you know what I do to make me smile.  I hope you all decide to try my favorite things.  You may want to drink before you try the dancing or the pop corners, but at the end of the day....You'll be happy.!

Mucho Burrito is Mucho Bueno LOL

Hello Everyone.,

Today's post is about my experience that I had at Mucho Burrito.  Last week, I went into Mucho Burrito, this is not my first time at Mucho Burrito.  I actually really enjoy Mucho Burrito.  Did I say the word Burrito enough times yet? hahaha.  I love burrito's, can you tell?

I really enjoy this place.  It has a lot of options and the food is really good.  I'm always nervous when I have to go into a place for the first time, I never know what I am going to find. LOL.  Here, I found Cassandra and Maria, yes, that's my shout out to you two girls. :)) They were friendly and made my food really well.  I have tried numerous things on their menu.  My favorite is...yes, the burrito but I am going to say this, I really like the salad bowl they offer too. 

What makes this place different from other Burrito places? Well, for one it's clean.  Muy importante. They also offer a great selection on their menu.  They have pulled pork!!!! They give you the opportunity to create your selection and they do it at a great rate of speed. 

I wish they had cheaper pricing but I guess, that goes without saying...LOL.  I recommend this place, it really does fill you up and the food is great.  Enjoy, those burrito's ladies and gent, and make sure you try the shredded beef, it's kind of my favorite.

Theresa Caputo Mentions Toronto Maple Leafs!!

Hello Everyone.,

Today's post is about my experience last night.  I had tickets to go see Theresa Caputo, TLC's Long Island Medium.  Many people are skeptics to when it comes to mediums and I must admit, I think that many are phony but I do believe Theresa Caputo does have a gift.  I do believe that she can communicate with spirit. 

I did not get a reading from Theresa last night, but, there were probably 20,000 people in the Sony Centre and the people she did read, really seem to need the closure. I am not at all disappointed that I did not get a reading, but, I do have to say this, I can see why people are drawn to her.  She has this crazy personality, after all, she is Italian. LOL.  I personally was obsessed with her $1500 Louboutins that she was wearing, looks like this "regular" Long Island Mom is doing extremely well now.  I am happy that she has this gift but honestly, last night felt like a big show.  She promoted her fan club, yup, she has a fan club??!! She promoted her book.  She was dressed really, really nice.  I loved her David Yurman Ring as well. LOL.  I just think that maybe, the gift she was given is now being exploited. 

I hope she gave peace to all the people she read, and she mentioned the TORONTO Maple Leafs, so Theresa, good job on knowing which city you were in!! By the way, congrats on the win last night BUDS, sorry, I missed the game! 

She did give me more perspective on life, like I needed to think more..LOL.  I do believe there is more after here, and she convinced us all last night.  She even said she felt the presence of God to one lady she read, and that usually never happens.  So, are you worried people are watching you?! I personally feel safe knowing I have angels up there looking down on me and helping me choose and make right choices.  No one is perfect, and we all make mistakes, so isn't it nice to know that spirit places people in our lives to help us with being happy and trying to correct our mistakes?! Sometimes, we are really hard on ourselves and we let guilt stand in the way of our happiness and that is what I learned last night.  It is ok, to make mistakes.  It is ok, to try and make yourself happy.  You can not please everyone, and you will make errors.  Guilt, will only stop you from being happy.

Theresa Caputo, you are one of a kind... I wish you all the best, but, I do not think I will be coming to another show again.

My New Obsession at STARBUCKS

" Can I have a Grande Non Fat, Extra Foam with Whip, Chocolate Chai Latte...??"

Hello Everyone.,

Anyone who knows me, knows I enjoy Starbucks.  My favorite drink as I wrote about previously is the Valencia Orange Refresher.  Now, my dear readers, I found a hot beverage I enjoy immensely.  I usually like cold drinks and again I am not a coffee drinker but this drink gives me stars in my eyes. 

I'm not sure, if I love Starbucks so much because they gave me 2 free drinks one yesterday and one the other day but I think it's the service and quality of drinks that they offer that has me going back.  So, here is my new love.  Chocolate Chai Latte.  It tastes so good.  Make sure you add the whip, it's worth the calories.  This drink tastes like chocolate, cinnamon, cappuccino drink without the coffee.  It is made with creamy cocoa, steamed milk and black tea with spices.  It smells so good and that makes the taste of the drink even better.

Usually, I do venture out and have that Pumpkin Spice Latte, but, since this one is without the coffee, I have to say everyone, I prefer the Chai Latte.  It is a must try for all of you readers who love chocolate and whip cream. LOL.  So, I'm assuming a lot of you will be trying this drink in the near future.!!

Once again, Starbucks, you created a fabulous drink for me.  Now, I have a favorite cold drink and a hot one.  I am very happy with you guys.  You are one of my favorite places to venture out too.  The drive through helps too, especially when it's raining and I do not want to wet my hair..LOL.

Go to a Starbucks soon and get that Chocolate Chai Latte, you will not be disappointed.  Love you Starbucks, keep up the great service !! See you tomorrow....now, I need to figure out which drink I want the Chai Latte or my Valencia Refresher.?!

Hello Everyone..,

HOCKEY IS BACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I guess, I'm a little excited. LOL.  I am proud for one that this team pulled the victory on opening night.  Yes, it was a close game but you know what, a win is a win and we won !!!!!!!!!!!!!  So, congrats to my boys in blue.  I wish you so much success in the season ahead.

Right before game time, the Toronto Maple Leafs made a huge announcement in signing Phil Kessel to a new 8 year contract. $64 million dollar deal.  Not to shabby.  I knew, I should have married a hockey player, well, technically, I still can. LOL.  So, many people would think that this is insane but hey, he did get us an assist last night in the first goal.  I am sure Phil will stand proud as a leaf as did Matt Sundin did and we will have a super team for this season. 

Congrats to our goalie last night James Reimer who got us the win and I must add I thought he played great last season.  So, I was happy to see him start for the leafs in their first game. So, he deserved the first star of the night.., yes, it went to him.  Phil.., I think since you got that huge contract, maybe, you should have gotten something, ?? LOL. Oh ya, you got the money. 

Welcome back boys...I am proud you beat the MONTREAL Canadians who booed us when we came out but that's ok, cause we won the game!!!! Here's to a new season....  See you tonight boys in Phillie.., let's make it another win!!  Toronto loves you..., bring that cup back to this city !!!!! GO LEAFS GOOOOO!!!!
